Treatment
Tanzanite is gently warmed after mining to bring out its blue-violet color. This has been standard practice since the gem was found in Tanzania in 1967, and it is how all tanzanite is valued. The color is permanent and stable and needs no special care.

Care & Setting
Tanzanite is best suited to thoughtful wear. Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush; avoid ultrasonic cleaning, sharp impacts and sudden temperature changes.
